Once the user, has signed up for an account, they are asked to complete one trial offer from a list of one of the many participating companies. These include some large name, reliable companies such as Blockbuster, Google, Stamps.com, Ebay, and Yahoo just to name a few.

After the user has completed an offer, they are asked to go and get referrals to join the site as well. This is done by using a referral link provided to you by the website after you have signed up. When one of your referrals completes an offer, they will credit to your account, and you will be one step closer to obtaining your free gift.

Typically, Referrals can range from 4 referrals for an item like an iPod Nano, to 12 referrals for an item like an Xbox 360 Premium that comes with 2 controllers and 2 games of choice. They are generally several different prize options on each site, so the user can choose to get a minimal amount of referrals for the basic prize, or obtain more for a premium version of the free gift.

So how does the company make the money to send out all these expensive free gifts and prizes?

The companies that have offers on the website are what makes the company most if its money. They pay a good sum of money for the free giveaway website to direct new potential customers in their direction. Each referral that completes an offer is a potential customer that may stay on with them after the trial period is over. This is a great tool for the companies that have these offers, and they are willing to pay good amounts of money for it. It is said that the companies are charged about $50 per customer sent their way. Now you can begin to see where the money to pay for these prizes comes from.

Example) an Apple iPod Nano starts at $149 for a brand new product. If the freebie website offers this for 4 referrals, they can easily pay for it and keep some money as profit for themselves. You must complete one offer, and your 4 referrals must as well, which ads up to 5 new customers sent to the advertising companies. At $50 per customer that completes an offer, the freebie website makes about $250. This is enough to easily purchase the iPod Nano, and keep $100 for the companies profit as well.

The company also profits if people sign up, complete an offer, and then...

  • Forget about the site and never return
  • Dont get enough referrals/give up
  • Get Banned for breaking the rules
This is even more profit for the company, its quite easy to see how they are able to offer the free prizes, and still make a profit at the same time.

All About Trial Offers

After you have signed up for a freebie site, the first thing that you need to do is complete a trial offer. To do this, click on the "offers" tab at the top of the page and look through the wide variety of offers available for you to choose from.

There are many other great offers listed on the site, just get out there and find them.

Make sure to read all of the terms and conditions on the companies website where you are signing up for the offer. Know how long the trial last and what day you have to cancel it by if you do not wish to continue. Write down the phone number, website, or email address where you can cancel it from if you choose to.

Keep all of the information you receive during the transaction such as order confirmation and such. You can use confirmation pages or emails, screenshots, or bank transactions to show as proof. This will help to ensure you get manual credit for an offer if for some reason the company was not able to track it automatically.

Once you have done all this and finished the offer, all you have to do is wait for it to credit. This can happen instantly for some offers, or take a few days for others. If for some reason after seven days you have not received credit for your offer that you have completed, go to your account with the freebie site and send a support ticket. The company will give you manual credit, so long as you can prove that you actually did the offer.

How To Get Referrals Guide

The hardest part of obtaining the free giveaway of your choice will be getting the necessary referrals needed in order to obtain your prize. However, with this guide, and a bit of determination, you will be able to ease your way through getting those referrals, and have your free prize on its way in no time.

For example, on this Xbox 360 Premium for free site, you need 7 referrals to get an Xbox 360 Premium. When you sign up for the site, you will get a referral link like this-

This is the link that people will have to click before they sign up in order to count as a referral under you. Once a referral signs up under you through your referral link, they will show up on your account. However, this is only half of the battle. They now must complete an offer, and when they do so they will be officially counting towards your count. In the example, if one person signs up for that account and completes an offer, and I want the basic Xbox 360 package, they will count for 1/7 of the total referrals needed for the prize, plus your completed offer.

Some sites offer images that you can place on websites that show the progress that you have made towards your account. Different ways to get referrals
  • People you know- The fastest and easiest way to get referrals is to get them from people that you know. Odds are that you have a lot of family members and friends, and if you pitched the idea to enough of them, some will without a doubt be willing to help your cause. The best thing about getting people you know personally to sign up is that there is an almost 100% guarantee that they will complete and offer and credit to your account. If you post your link on the web, you may get many referrals, but only a couple that "go green" and count towards your prize.
  • Instant Messaging- Tell your friends online of the sites that you are participating in and explain to them how they work and why they are legit. Odds are, they will be willing to help you out on your way to getting your free giveaway, and start on their way to getting their own.
  • Post Your Referral Link- Post your referral link in your signatures on online forums and in your email. This is a great way to get it out there for people to see and get new referrals.   • Conga Lines- Conga Lines are groups of people who are all trying to get the same prize. In order to get into a Conga Line, just sign up under the conga line leader, and complete an offer. Make note that this must be the first time you have signed up for that particular site, because you may only sign up for each site once. When the conga leader has verified that you have completed your offer, you will be added to the line. As soon as the conga leader gets 2-5 referrals, depending on the specific list, they are removed, and the next person in the line becomes the conga leader.
